Age Concern Bolton's Befriending Service
We recruit volunteers to visit older people (over 50) who are isolated in the Tonge Moor, Tonge Fold, Breightmet, Haulgh and Hall I'th' Wood areas of Bolton. The volunteer visits 1-2 hours every week, to spend quality time together and build a friendship.

Making changes Community Group
Making Changes is a Confidence Building Community Group for adults. Member of the group have a variety of personal skills which range from arts, craft and personal wellbeing. They use their individual skills to deliver the project sessions, whilst also using appropriate professionals to deliver some sessions such as Tai Chi. Feel free to come along to any sessions – ALL FREE!.

South Haulgh Residents Group
Residents group set up to improve the community spirit in South Haulgh through a range of activities and events, covering social, fitness and leisure pursuits. We also hope to improve the area through ongoing community action with initiatives such as park management, the ‘Big Society’ and the ‘Big Bolton Tidy Up’.

Eldon Street Residents Association
Eldon Street Residents Association hold a coffee morning 'open to all' every Monday morning at Tonge UCAN 10-11am.
They also hold a car boot sale on a monthly basis on Castle Hill car park. The next one will take place April 23rd 2011.

Haulgh North Action group (HNAG)
Haulgh North Action Group are a residents group that aim to make the North Haulgh area a better place to live. They aim to improve the Health and Wellbeing of local residents by running projects such as the 'Healthy Haulgh'.
The area covered by North Haulgh includes all the streets within the borders of the triangle formed by St Peters Way, Bury New Road and Bradford Street.

Slimming World Group
Slimming World do not promote a ‘diet’ but a healthy eating plan which means you can lose weight and need never feel hungry. We meet every Tuesday 10am & 6:30 pm at St Chads Parish Church, Longworth Street, Tonge Fold Free membership available for 11-16 year olds with accompanying parent member.
